Leaves and temperatures are falling which mean…. Pumpkin season is here! These Pumpkin Bars have become a Fall favorite in my family and a definite crowd pleaser for any party or get-together.
Pumpkin Bars
2 cups flour
1tsp baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup nuts (optional)
2 cups sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
4 eggs
2 cups pumpkin (1 can)
1 cup oil
Mix all ingredients together and pour into a greased jelly roll pan. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Let them cool & Frost (see frosting recipe below).
Frosting
3 oz cream cheese
3/4 stick of butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 3/4 cup powdered sugar
Mix until smooth, frost bars.
**Note: These bars freeze very well
